Full-time | From £37,000 per year | Company Van Provided

We're looking for a reliable and hands-on Gas Engineer / Plumber to join our team. This role is primarily focused on servicing, repairs, and maintenance of domestic plumbing, heating and gas systems, with some installation work when needed.

You don’t need to be an expert in everything — if you’ve got solid experience and a can-do attitude, we’ll play to your strengths and provide training where needed. We’re after someone who’s happy to muck in and be part of a friendly, down-to-earth team.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults in boilers, heating systems and gas appliances

  • Carry out general plumbing repairs: taps, toilets, pipework, showers, radiators, etc.

  • Complete landlord gas safety checks in line with current regulations

  • Service and maintain a variety of domestic gas appliances and heating systems

  • Support with installation work when required

  • Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent

  • Follow health and safety guidelines on all jobs

  • Take part in a 1-in-4 on-call rota for emergency out-of-hours jobs

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years’ hands-on experience in plumbing, heating and gas work

  • Valid Gas Safe qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1

  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

  • Able to work independently with strong problem-solving skills

  • Willing to muck in and take on a variety of tasks

  • Good communication and customer service skills

We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Plumbing Apprentice to join our experienced and friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build a career in the plumbing and heating industry while working towards their NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Plumbing Studies, with the goal of becoming Gas Safe qualified.

About the Role:

As an Apprentice Plumbing & Heating Engineer, you’ll gain practical, on-site experience across a wide range of domestic plumbing, heating and gas jobs. You’ll be mentored by qualified engineers while studying one day per week at college.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You must be enrolled on a recognised plumbing course or have a college place already confirmed

  • A strong interest in plumbing, heating and gas engineering

  • A willingness to learn and work as part of a team

  • Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude

  • Local to Hull or surrounding areas and able to travel to jobs

  • A driving licence is an advantage but not essential
