Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire
Salary: £34,000 to £43,500 per year, depending on experience and range of work categories covered Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with a 4-day work week from June to September)
We are seeking a fully qualified Domestic Gas Safe Engineer with at least one year’s experience post-apprenticeship to specialise in servicing, maintaining, and repairing domestic gas appliances and heating systems. Your work will include diagnostics, fault finding, repairs, gas safety checks, and planned maintenance.
You should be confident using a multi-meter and able to carry out electrical testing on heating systems, including electrically fired heating systems.
You will also carry out heating controls upgrades, such as installing new smart thermostats and other control devices.
You will be required to cover the company’s call-out service one week out of every four.
While this role is not primarily installation-based, you may occasionally assist colleagues with installation tasks.
Your basic salary will be set according to your level of experience within domestic gas industry.
On top of this, you will receive additional pay uplifts based on the number and types of extra work categories you confidently cover, such as:
Domestic plumbing
Oil-fired heating systems
Unvented cylinders
LPG systems
Heat pumps
Commercial gas work
Overall, your total salary will range between £34,000 and £43,500 per year, with your basic pay plus uplifts combined.

We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Plumbing Apprentice to join our experienced and friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build a career in the plumbing and heating industry while working towards their NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Plumbing Studies, with the goal of becoming Gas Safe qualified.
As an Apprentice Plumbing & Heating Engineer, you’ll gain practical, on-site experience across a wide range of domestic plumbing, heating and gas jobs. You’ll be mentored by qualified engineers while studying one day per week at college.
You must be enrolled on a recognised plumbing course or have a college place already confirmed
A strong interest in plumbing, heating and gas engineering
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude
Local to Hull or surrounding areas and able to travel to jobs
A driving licence is an advantage but not essential
