We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Plumbing Apprentice to join our experienced and friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build a career in the plumbing and heating industry while working towards their NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Plumbing Studies, with the goal of becoming Gas Safe qualified.
As an Apprentice Plumbing & Heating Engineer, you’ll gain practical, on-site experience across a wide range of domestic plumbing, heating and gas jobs. You’ll be mentored by qualified engineers while studying one day per week at college.
You must be enrolled on a recognised plumbing course or have a college place already confirmed
A strong interest in plumbing, heating and gas engineering
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive, reliable attitude
Local to Hull or surrounding areas and able to travel to jobs
A driving licence is an advantage but not essential
Hands-on training from experienced Plumbing & Gas Engineers
Progression towards NVQ Level 2 & 3 qualifications
Real-world experience across domestic plumbing and heating systems
Pathway towards becoming Gas Safe qualified
PPE and uniform provided

Salary: £37,500 to £43,500 per year, depending on experience and range of work categories covered Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with a 4-day work week from June to September)
We’re inviting applications from Domestic Gas Engineers across all disciplines — whether you specialise in servicing, fault finding or installations — to join our friendly, skilled team.
We’re open to engineers with experience in any of the following:
Servicing and fault-finding on boilers and gas appliances
Full central heating installations
Landlord gas safety checks (CP12s)
Upgrades to heating controls including smart thermostats
Diagnostics using multimeters
Work on gas-fired and electric heating systems
We’re especially interested in engineers looking to broaden their skills or take on more varied work.
We’re actively expanding into new technologies and can offer opportunities for further training and development in:
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) – future-focused technology with growing demand
Unvented Hot Water Cylinders
LPG and oil-fired systems
Advanced diagnostics using multimeters
Smart controls and modern heating systems
£37,500 – £43,500, depending on experience and work categories
Basic salary is determined by your experience
Additional uplifts are paid based on the extra categories of work you can carry out (e.g. plumbing, heat pumps, unvented, LPG, oil, commercial, etc.)
4-day summer work week (June to September)
Well-racked van with quality van stock
Company expense card for fuel, tolls, materials, parking, etc.
Uniform and specialist tools provided (you’ll need your own hand and battery tools)
Participation in our company call-out rota (with paid standby)
Local work only – we cover East Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire (no long-distance travel)

Minimum 1 year post-apprenticeship experience
